The Old Red Lion hotel dates back to its 18th Century days and was originally an old farm house. The lodges offer comfortable accommodation in a charming setting.
There are 12 comfortably furnished, en suite rooms, including ground floor rooms, some with disabled facilities. They are all situated in attractive buildings around the main building and restaurant, allowing for a more tranquil stay. The bar area has been recently refurbished, providing comfort seating through out with leather settees and chairs. It has a good village pub atmosphere here and it hosts live entertainment on a regular basis.
A good selection of wines, spirits and cask conditioned beers are available. A bar menu is available at lunchtime from 12:00 to 14:30 and 18:00 to 21:00. The restaurant is open from 18:00 until 21:00 Monday to Saturday evenings.
Our hotel offers a more personnel service in a small country Village. We pride ourselves in offering a friendly and helpful service to all of our guests to ensure that their stay here with us is enjoyable.
Our bar area offers a village atmosphere where we regularly have live bands and entertainment. We have a bar menu available from 12:00 to 14:30 and 18:00 to 21:00 Monday to Friday and all day Saturday.
We have a separate restaurant that seats approximately 50 people and has a partially Yorkshire stoned floor, log burner for those colder evenings offering a cosy atmosphere and wooden floored area. We offer an excellent menu 6 nights a week where all of the produce is sourced from local suppliers and cooked to order. We pride ourselves in offering excellent quality and value for money on both of our menus available daily. We regularly hold weddings, christenings and private parties here, also as it is a small restaurant able to offer a very personnel service to those smaller events.
Check-in is from 14:00 to 22:00 daily and you go into the main bar area where one of the staff will be more than happy to assist you and offer you any help and advice that may make your stay here with us more comfortable.

We have 12 separate letting rooms. They are all separate to the main building and are in 3 blocks of 4. 2 blocks are on 2 floors and the other 4 rooms are all on the ground level. All rooms have satellite TV channels.
We have 2 rooms with disabled facilities with easy access. All ground floor rooms are very spacious and are ideal for the larger families.

The period designed restaurant features a Yorkshire stoned floor, where the brand new menu is available Monday to Saturday evening.
The Sunday carvery is always very popular and a reservation is essential. All of the produce is sourced from local suppliers.
The restaurant closes on Sundays at 17:00 after the carvery has finished. Therefore, anyone who wishes to check-in on Sunday evening after 17:00 will have the booking in procedure available to them on arrival.
From the a11, take the a1307 towards Haverhill passing a small village called Linton, follow the signs to Horseheath. Take the slip road off to your left and we are situated directly in front of you to the right.
